On Tuesday, July 6, 2010 - the Alton Fire Dept. responded to a brush fire on Mt. Major. The fire was in extremely rugged terrain and was initially difficult to find. Tuesday's operations mostly included scouting the routes of access and size of the fire. Making things more difficult was the weather at almost 100 degrees F with high humidity. Not surprisingly, three firefighters were transported to the hospital with heat emergencies.

This training session will be the first event where all three NNE MMRS task forces will train together. Additional info will be sent to members.

This is our regularly scheduled full day training session. All members are strongly encouraged to attend.
